Damn it...post disappeared! Has anyone ever used Toluene for their boosted applications? It's the equivilent of 114 octane gasoline, and it doesn't smell crappy like race gas does.

Boosted or no boost....Our motors at stock trim, have too low of a compression ratio for race fuel. In my opinion, unless you have a built motor with very very HIGH compression, its going to do more damage then help. I see the O2 sensors burning out REALLY fast with that high of octane too.

I'm not talking about running it straight, but as an additive to regular 93 octane.

yeah yeah. add it. Chemically speaking, toluene should do fine with butanol. Wait...let me ask my organic chem professor when I go back to college. I'll be back.
