Isn't his filter right by the radiator I cannot tell by the pictures?

no, it's in the fender well.

In general, ICs with a lot of short channels like sx7r's have a lower pressure drop than ICs with a few long channels. But the 180 degree turn the air has to make may cancel out that advantage.

What I like about it is that IC would work well with a SC without too much trouble.
