Noisey turbo for Craig.

Most of you guys may have seen this before, but I'd love to have the T3/T4 I'm getting to sound like this sucker. I don't know the details on the turbo itself other than the size, so I don't know how it's so loud.

Is that a perfect sized turbo for the Max? Are they relitively cheap? Sounds good....but then again, don't they all sound pretty much the same?

It's the same sized turbo as on Hal's car, on Bag's car and on most of the people on the .org. As I said though, who on the org have you heard rev their car and get anything NEAR that amount of noise.

I'm pretty sure somethings slightly different on his turbo then on ours, but you'd have to ask him. He's got a dodge-devoted webpage and his reliant is called the "Relentless" if you want to go chase him down and find out how he got his turbo so loud

Apparently that guy got a traffic ticket and had his car treated like a sports car, so he turned it into one. Something like a 2.x liter engine with 20ish psi.

Still doesn't explain the crazy turbo noise on spool up though. Anyone know what the hecks up with that?

In this web site it mentions that he's running 30-33 PSI of boost.

Woops, I thought he was still on 20-30 and not the 30-33.

That might do it, but I haven't heard enough turbos in my day to be sure.

A friend of mine has 89 dodge Lancer, he was running 18psi on stock internal with 3 inch exhaust. Now he just changed some internal parts and he's running 28 psi it's insane haven't dynoed it yet but crazy top end.
