Stillen V2 Supercharger for 2001

Im getting ready next week to install my Stillen V2 kit and have noticed an intake pipe that runs from the S/C intake to almost the front bottom middle of the car, kind like a CAI. Im wondering is this better than the air filter mounted right on the intake of the S/C like ive seen in most install docs?

basically, behind the radiator is bad because too much hot air got trapped over there.

good luck on your install

as well.IIRC, the 5th gen kit has too little clearance for the filter to fit on between the bracket and the inner fender.

Unless you remove your washer fluid bottle. you can put a filter directly on the SC intake but you'll have to do w/no washer fluid and a dirty windsheield.

I experimented with a smaller bottle and putting the windshield washer tube on that smaller bottle. To connect the two I basically used a radiator hose cut up to make the two fit. I never got around to install it since I sold the SC kit to LatinMax.

air filter

The car is in Perfect Shape with 50k miles. Ive been thinking alot about this and at first Ill go ahead and use the one that came with the kit but will be changin that to some type of ram air (thinking of making a small box to plug into the intake of the SC and then running ducted work to the hood and making a ram air scoop dunno when ill be doing this (might be this winter since ill not be drivning it alot).

I have the same year car as you and I did the cold air intake AND kept my washer bottle. I have a write up on it on my site (page 2 near the bottom).
