E46 M3s are SLOW. I test drove one several months ago. Well they feel slow especially since I am putting out more to the wheels than they do at the crank!
. Even though my IS is now boosted, I still love to drive my Maxima ... It's just too loud (3" exhaust is loud)! I love everything about my Max ... other than it is FWD.

from a stop M3 gets the advantage IMO. from a roll i believe you would walk it.
