Can I go to the track without tuning?

This saturday I'm hoping to do the following:

- 3.125" pully
- 370cc Injectors
- 3:1 FMU disc
- SAFC
- Fix oil leak

If my EGT's seem happy, is there any reason I couldn't take it to the track the next day? There are only two dates left this year, and quite honestly the last one may be snowed out.

I know I have to tune it, but that won't happen between Saturday and Sunday, as there isn't anyone local to do it...I have to go to Toronto to get tuned.

The only real difference between the track and a dyno run is the real time afr measurement the wideband O2 sensor gives you, which would warn you of leanness in time to back off. But if you are reasonably sure that you're not running lean, then I don't see why not.

So, are you up and running with the 370's? What base fuel pressure are you running?

That's what I thought too.

No, I'm picking up the 370's this week though. I could either go to the track with my current setup, or the new one....I'm on the fence. I never did get the numbers I expected with the 3.33" pully (13.9's). Part of me would like to get a better number out of this setup, and the other part wants to move on the bigger and better things!

Decisions, decisions...

Stupid me, I didn't read your first post correctly. I'd just wait till after you install the bigger injectors, although without dyno tuning it's hard to say if your times will improve.

You're coming up here to get your car tuned? How come, and where at?

If you're still running the stock injectors and don't have a 8:1 (or 6:1 w/3.33) disk in the FMU, I wouldn't do it. If you DO have the right disk though, I don't think there would be a prob unless you're expecting an injector to fail.
