Washer Resiviour location and K&N P/N

The CAI Filter I got from Loren when I bought the blower is very small.
It fits in the fender area without having to move the resiviour.

As some of you know, I've had a boost leak since I got the blower. Well - it turns out Loren sold me a leaking blower in the first place.
<I'm not mad at him - he didn't know I'm sure>.

But because of that, I'm trading it right now for a V2 blower. (+$950) The V1 is at Vortech right now being tested to see if I get a "Class A" or "Class B" credit.

But - now that I really will be boosting 10PSI, I'm wondering if that filter will flow enough to allow full boost.

So - what is the K&N part number everyone uses for their CAIs?
Where do you buy it from?

What do you do with your washer resiviour?

Thanks!
IanS

I use the RU 3530, it flows I believe 644CFM soemthing like that. I called K &N. I got it from hotrodsllc.com someplace like that for $35.00 shipped. Window washer reservoir that had to come off. Filter was quite big.

They have various shapes so maybe a rectangular filter would work better...i.e. able to keep reservoir... Check out the K&N website... just keep the inlet 3.5" (IIRC)...

My reservior is reloacted to drivers side fender well, works great.only the fill nozzle is showing and the reservior itself is hidden in between the liner and inner fender.

How did you attach it?

Did you drill a hole for the fill nozzle?

Got pics!?

Nice write-up - but that won't work for me as I have the steel 3" CAI setup.

It's quite a big larger than that.

But thanks for the P/N's, nonetheless.

The 3" steel does not fit in the turn, so you have to go with the rubber setup for the 5th gen.
But I was able to keep the washer bottle.

Ah.

My SC came with a rubber one, but it eventually fell apart, so I just made the steel one.

Eeek!

You can swap out the windshield washer resevoir for a smaller one. I did that and apart from a little machine work to get a bracket for it, it went right in the stock area.

Ya I remember.
Sorry I did not catch your posts about the problem before. If not we would have been able to catch it much sooner. Well at least you won't have to wonder anymore.
Hey congrats on the upgrade to V2. You will be much happier with us V2 peeps

Like I said in another post - I'm not even mad at Loren, who sold it to me - I'm sure he didn't even know.

I mean - there's always that old saying:

"You gotta pay to play"

I'm VERY psyched about going to a V2 with a 2.87" Pulley.

Yesterday I took a look underneath and found that the window washer reservoir takes up the whole space! It won't fit like in LatinMax's pic so I guess its because of the different bodystyle. There is space in front of it to fit the K&N Filter (#RU-1785) but the piping just would not make it over.
Would any auto supply parts shop carry generic and smaller reservoirs?
