not necessarily "needed" but definitely helps preserve the life of your charger by releasing excess boost pressure into atmosphere in between shifts, but not so much that you have to rebuild boost from scratch...so basically a good investment for an expensive charger kit.... i would recommend one...

hi there, for the HKS it is best and recommended that you also buy the proper flange for the BOV.... you can get one from stillen, it's alittle cheaper than trying to go through HKS...also they will recommend the correct size for your piping... it's the 6mm i believe.... i have one as well... and i love it!

by the way you can get it welded on by a muffler shop for cheap....

Not true.

The circulation valve that comes with the SC Kit works just as well as a BOV.

But everyone knows BOV's are way cooler.

When I switched from blitz to HKS, I needed a new flange welded on - but it was an older style Blitz - I'm not sure what you have.
