I believe someone on this forum did have these cams installed and is running a turbo setup. I do know that for the sr20de there is a different program for the S3/S4 cams vs without, however the turbo program isn't different at all with or without the cams.

From what I've READ and heard, yes there are HP gains in the neighborhood of 8-18HP on a turbo VQ30 with the addition of just the cams. It comes at a severe sacrifice of low end driveability. I don't think JWT has another turbo cam program.

"LOW END" Drivability... I'm not sure I like that. I would like to see a dyno showing the HP and TQ increase. And to see were this loss would be noticable.
For $1200, it should cover the entire power band from 3k-6.5k.

Some guy without the raised limiter gained like 20 peak horse power and 16 lb. torque. Forced induction should get at least twice that. I think idol is raised to 900-1000 rpm.

IMO: If JWT really wants to sale these, they must provide dyno's and more detailed info for the buyers.

Blame the DOHC heads, if the VQ was SOHC the cams would only be $500-600 like the VG and SR/KA/GA cams are.

Where are you getting that? It sounds like you are referring to Iron Lung, but your numbers are wrong. Yeah, he's naturally aspirated and is running the stock ECU. He installed the cams along with the full header/y-pipe set to replace his existing y-pipe. He also disconnected his A/C and had a malfunctioning MEVI (compared to his previous runs). Result was like 23hp peak gain, but 10tq loss (could be attributed to MEVI). Some of the gain can be attributed to the headers, some to the A/C being disconnected. I'm sure he'd see even more if he had a raised rev limiter...

Also, regarding JWT's turbo program, afaik, their program is setup to work with 300ZX's and doesn't work exactly right out of the box with the stock maxima MAF sensor and injectors. Someone else with more info can correct me on that tho...

I can't comment concerning the JWT ecu programmed for the Maxima maf, but I am very happy with the JWT ecu and Z32 maf combo in a supercharged application.

I thought the JWT programmed ecu was for a turbocharged maxima they had made but people tried it out on supercharged car and it worked fine.
