Supercharged/Turbocharged The increase in air/fuel pressure above atmospheric pressure in the intake system caused by the action of a supercharger or turbocharger attached to an engine.

Does anyone have a dyno plot I can look at for turbo with 7000rpm limit and MEVI

I know different setups including turbo specs and state of tune will change power output but I'm looking to see, in very general terms, how much there is to be gained by going with a 7000 or 7200RPM limiter and MEVI vs the stock limiter and MEVI on a turbocharged VQ.

And he has not *mentioned* dynoing. He may have , but I have not seen anything.

I thought ramius83 had turbo and raised limiter also, or am I mistaken.

I would think supercharged cars would benifit more than turbocharged cars, unless you put a big turbo on your car.

If he did get one, he got it in the past 2 weeks and I did not know about it. Which means he gets his *** kicked..lol

Spanishrice- Your topend will be helped no matter what. In a SC'd car you could pull more PSI, which would be better.

In a turbo car with a MEVI, I would place a bet saying you'd gain 20 WHP for another 500 rpm.

ANd then when you shift you'd be in your happy place in the rpm range

By the MEVI or 7000rpm limiter or both?

MEVI is a wash, since you can just increase psi on USIM to compensate.

7000+rpm limiter is *CRITICAL* in your choice of turbo sizing. At least from my searches, my engine would benefit from a 1-step larger, ie GT30-->GT35, by having a 7200rpm limiter. It's all based on the MAXIMUM amount of air you engine can inhale, which is dependent on displacement and RPM at redline.

We will see about all this USIM stuff later

I did nto even think about the amount of exhaust gas increase yo uwould have from 6500-7000 rpm.

Good point icy
