Your car will run totally different in the higher RPMs, it will pin you to your seat. You will grin.

What kind of gains? What kind of question is that? At least be a bit more specific. Stock pulley? Smaller pulley? Regardless you will see gains, its a forced air induction.

gains I mean hp(horse power) gains. What is the reliability. Will the gains be minimal compared to that of a manual?

Again you dont seem to be listening or reading the questions I asked.

WHAT SIZE PULLEY? Leaving the supercharger stock? Are we upgrading the pulley? 6psi or 9psi or 12psi? Obviously gains are different at each level.

6psi you can expect about 240whp on an auto tuned. Realibility? On a stock pulley it fine, but auto will require a valvebody modification otherwise the tranny is toast. Also once you get high in boost, the auto will die regardless, not much realiability there. Also HUGE factor people seem to not factor in is your driving style. That alone is probably worth 75% of how quickly you break the car/tranny/other parts.

It all depends on how you drive your Max. If you intend to flog it alot your tranny life will be shortened. If you're like me, a daily driver who flogs it once in a while, then you'll be fine. You'll need the VB mod to extend tranny life. I drove without the VB mod for a year and the tranny showed no ill effects. I flogged it early on after the SC install in Oct. 2000 but after seeing how much gas it gulped down I started to go easy on the pedal.

Get a tranny cooer alon with the VB mod. That can add a few years on the tranny's life.

Its easy to make a blanket statement like that after seeing recent a few postings about other people's rides. Heck, I see more postings about clutch questions than I do about auto trannys blowing up so I could easily say the same thing for 5 speeds.

Anyhoo, thanks for checking out my pics. I certainly took a chance getting an SC and I'm having fun with it as a daily driver. I've not taken it to the track but I do thrash it once a year at an All Nissan meet auto-x in the late summer. That's why I went with 17"s. I do miss rowing the stick but IF the auto tranny ever gives up the ghost I'll do the 5 spd swap.
