PFI Turbo Kit Question..

Hi,Im new to the boards here..My name is Mike and I own a Galant VR-4 (818/1000).Anyways..my friends was showing me how badass theses maxima's can get,and I was wondering about these PFI Maxima turbo kits from turbo-kits.com.Has anyone has this mod installed?Where you happy with the results?Would I be happier with the Maxima Extreme Turbo kit on this website?The PFI is going for $4500,and the extreme $3400.

The first kit you listed is the PFI kit. Several members have it, like it, and are putting down good numbers. I've only heard of one guy with the Extreme kit, which is designed with low-boost in mind.

Look around this forum for more details on everyone's setups.

Yeah the Extreme is more suited for a 4cyl like the galant, smaller turbo for smaller displacement. We need the bigger t3s and such not to have boost kick in too early and not to run out of boost too early.

T25 is too small even for a 2.0L SR20 engine. Most of us run T28s with good power, and ALOT of us use .82AR exhaust Stg 3 wheel Super 60 comp TO4Es with good results. I would just use a HKS GT3037 if I was U and make your own kit. Seein how U come from the DSM world U should know a thing or 2 bout boost.
