Stillen Supercharger problems...PLEASE HELP...

I have a 1995 Maxima with the Stillen Supercharger kit. Its been on the car for over a year, but recently the supercharger belt keeps tearing. This has been only happening for the past 3 months. The car is not driven hard at all, and Stillen says that replacing the belt is a given, but not every month. Does anyone else have this problem. If so, what can I do to resolve this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

The V1 kit is pretty much free of belt shredding problems (as far as I know). Something must have changed to create a belt alignment problem, since you were good before. Check your blower pulley to make sure it is on tight and hasn't shifted. Check the idler pulley on the bracket and the oem tensioner pulley for the same thing. Also check the alternator pulley for misalignment. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

if it started out of the blue the only thing i could think of is your pulleys are worn if there still the plastic ones or one of the pulleys is seizing up.
check to see if you have free play on the alt, a/c. by any chance did you change the alt.

maybe your tensioner gradually loosens and then your belt hops a rib. Once that happens you can still drive the car but the belt begins to shred. I have had this happen twice since january except I look under the hood ALL the time and seem to catch it just in time. My max is a daily driver and I take her to red line several times a day. check your tensioner pulley, if this is something that takes a month to happen I dont think it would be the elignment. I would think that it would shred much faster if something was misaligned.

what C Max said too, your idler pulley maybe toast(running V1 ) you can easily get a new idler pulley for the V1 at advance auto. It is a Dayco brand, 76mm flat with flanges (6 rib) for $20. goodluck

exactly. you have to pay careful attention to your s/c. cause this has happened to me also. what i do everytime i start the car i listen for a squeal, also a quick rev will also reveal a loose belt. the tensioner slowly
moves from the stress. i tighten mine every once in a while and always catch it in time. and your right a misaligned belt will pop off instantly.
