S/C part needed,PLEASE help..

How's it going all, hope someone can help me in any way. My S/c kit didn't come with a belt adjuster bracket, called stillen 3 weeks ago from today and they say it would be done, called back to day and I gotta wait another 4 weeks, its totally killing me. I was wondering if someone can at least trace me an outline of the belt adjuster bracket just so I can take to a machine shop so I can get it made. I am offering money for the traced outline of the belt adjuster bracket, anything to avoid stillens broken promises. If anyone can help please either PM me or email me. thanks a lot!

Adreis, if I remember correctly, it is the top ear of the OEM bracket ground down to fit UNDER the SC plate, And then of course their special pulley.

I bought the Stillen pulley and spacer, just that the bracket is made in such a way that you can use the 3rd ear to put under the plate, keep it from rubbing the bracket, and having extra space on the rib to tension the belt. So damn hard to get ahold of a POS part.

The bracket is a stock bracket that the top ear is ground down around the bolt hole for a flat head hex bolt to thread onto and lay flat against the plate, and from the 2 V2 kits I have taken apart, I believe the bracket slides under the plate. There is no magic in any of this. Some time spent with your head underneath the car should make a light bulb go off, and the answer pretty apparent in seconds.

The key to this is going to a junkyard and grabbing the OEM assembly and playing with a grinder. The assembly should cost no more than 20 bucks, and a grinder no more than another 30 bucks. ten minutes in your garage, and you should be on your way. Maybe Jeff at MT can help. He has a V2 kit.

Thanks for the replies, got off the phone with Jeff and he said that the stillen bracket is in fact different. If anyone is willing to let me borrow the belt adjuster bracket off of their kit just so I can have Jeff replicate it I'd be willing to pick it up and drop if off (if local) and pay for your sincerity.

That bracket has the corner shaved down and if you guys pay close attention the adjuster is pointed somewhat towards the rear of the car vice straight up and forward like the stock bracket. Reason is pointed towards the back is therefor you can get to it and stuff that short 14mm to adjust your belt. The brackets look the same but are different I have compared them side by side. Nothing is impossible I am sure you can get your stock one to work
