So Hal are you runing 355cc injectors ? Or did you just change the injector size on your standalone in order to fool the computer into runing leaner ? Why do you run a FMU with a stand alone ? What kinda stand alone are you runing ? Does it still have all the emissions controlls built in- like EVAP and missfire monitoring ? I'm currious as in IL they do readiness code testing and MIL testing, if the codes are not set or you have a check engine light then they fail ya.

So your running an FMU and 555's? Are you still on a single fuel pump? If so watch the fuel pressue it may drop off when you start cranking up the boost

What scan tool can I use on a 89 Maxima? Who makes it and approximate cost?
So the Warbo pump (like the GN's Have) works? Factory Fuel pressure regulator or aftermarket? Awsome setup.!!!! |

It can support 550cc/min, if you upgrade the wiring and your charging system can provide 13.5V or more depending on your fuel pressure needs. |
Nissan Consult. Seen them for on ebay for oh.. a few thousand. Your maxima is OBDI. This is before the Gov't mandated universal diagnostics for all automakers (all 1996+ automobiles are obdII compliant and can use obdII scan tools)

I must have Hal mixed up with another Maxima.org member who is going to be or is runing a stand alone and gonna sell it for some .org memebers. Even with Emanage you should be able to ditch the FMU. I have a 240 with a KA runing 555s and TTZ MAF at 400WHP with no problem on stock ECU and Emanage- I just finished tuning it for my friend as no shops around this area know WTF they are doing with Nissans and cost him an engine.

Can you explain how you squeeze 400whp out of four 555s withOUT a FMU? Even at 100% duty cycle and NA stringent 0.50 BSFC, that's not possible.:confused: |
I run 4 bar of fuel pressure :) Nismo FPR with a Walbro in-tank, on Tomei 555cc injectors pulling air in via a Z32 TT MAF. You can get 300WHP from a set of 370ccs at 4 bar of fuel pressure. I do that daily with my G20 on a T25 turbo.

555cc@58psi --->640cc/min, which using again 100% DC and NA stringent 0.5 BSFC is good for 487bhp or 415whp assuming 15% drivetrain loss.

Okay I rounded off the 400WHP # :) its actually 387WHP, but its very close to 400WHP, and I'm sure if I where to get the turbo extrude honed it would hit 400WHP at that same boost :) I actually run 61psi on the KA and my SR. Works like a charm and the injectors have been happy for a long time now, no problems. Lets see 740cc injectors for 500 bux, or Nismo FPR for 90 bux... ehh I take the FPR :)

I thought that at first, but figured it would go rich, since you have an open atomosphere BOV, ie metered air is released, so there is excess fuel.

Ice, my MAF is after the BOV, so no metered air is released :)
I had it tuned to 11.8 (my goal) and tinkering plus a FP problem had me to 10.5 last night. I think it is near 11.0 now |

slimer, I got home yesterday and the dude revoked my bid- as I was the only bidder. Looks like every auction he had up was a fluke. It showed alot of diff engines for sale n stuff but nothing went through. But I am getting another DE-K so I can do some tinkering to it internally before I put it in the car.
