Are my stock pistons and rods gonna be able to handle the 2.87 w/ a mevi?

There are folks putting down 450-600 ft-lb in stock VQ30s, and tons of turbo guys putting down 350-400. With just a 2.87 and MEVI you are probably not going to put down more than 325 ft lb so you aren't even pushing the limits of what the engine can take as long as you have it tuned within reason.

Well, 360whp actually is about what you should get with a MEVI and V2 S/C. (Don't TOTALLY underestimate us Nealoc)

I'm getting 339hp and I've got a lean condition up top with the A32 MAF - so that's why I say 360hp is about right - once I get the time to fix this damned thing I should be at 355-365 somewhere.

Anyway - mightbeatyou - You'll be fine. As long as your A/F Ratio stays within safe limits, nothing bad is going to happen. Read about A/F Ratios and what is needed for a 2.87" Pulley (Injectors, A/F Management, etc) and you'll be fine.

Don't PM me tho - I don't know anything.

Doh!

My Bad.

However, in tq terms, that's seems overly optimistic. IIRC the greatest tq on a 2.87 is around 290.....

Yeah I was going to say 300 but I didn't want someone to come back and say "hey I put down 307ft-lb so you are wrong" so I estimated it a little on the high side
