cali turbo maximas...a question for you?

How do you guys get around smog in california?

i would suppose they just slip their local shady inspector a 50 when the manager isnt looking. either that, or put back to stock what needs to be back to stock in order to pass...

Isn't emissions testing only done at idle and at partial throttle cruise at some fairly low rpm?

In those situations you are not boosting and the ecu is in closed loop mode. You will be at a stoichiometric afr. As long as you have a working cat you should be okay.

think it would be better to go supercharger since its carb legal on the 4th gens except 99models.

if there is anything in the car that is aftermarket it has to have a CARB EO# (california air reasoure board) to be legal. otherwise it sould not pass visual.
