You not gonna fit a "kit". You can find an intercooler that will fit under your bumper support then have the piping made. I just bought a 26x6x3.5 intercooler off ebay for $280 shipped

I did alot of measuring and a little mock up before I bought it. The intercooler will fit without having to cut or remove the bumper support. Now the piping is a different story. I may have to modify the piping a bit. On_alert who built the kit could not remember the length intercooler he got so I had to kina judge by some pics and just go with what I thought was best.

I am prepared to loose my fogs. By looking where the piping has to come through I would say they are gonna have to go. I don't really care though.

If I do lose the fogs I am going to try and see if I can figure out how to keep the lens in place. Just remove the housing and wiring. That way it will look stock but the fogs just won't work

I can build piping for 3gens... Got a extra car here to mock up all the peices.. That's using my way to do the turbo mounting, routeing ect. I can remove and replace just about anything in my engine bay faster and easier than factory. Down pipe comes off in 3-5min. Collector/s to up-pipe feeding turbo about another 10 min. Turbo stays in place from another support bracket. Intercooler comes off with 2 bolts (along with rebar) Piping is very easy. I lost my fog lights but I have not finished my bumper yet. I'd like to help anyone if they need it. All tools and parts hoist ect easy to use at my building..
Ask anytime.. Love this stuff...

mike, where are you going to get your piping from, exhuast shop? How are you going to do your turbo piping, reverse y-pipe? I need some help finding someone to do mine but since I'm in ut there isn't much shops that would know what they're doing.

I was lucky enough to buy my piping off an old org member who custom made it. So the hard part was done and I am just buying the rest of the stuff I need. My set up is a reverse y-pipe. From what I can tell the exhaust is the same as the PFI kit, just my induction piping is different.

If you can't weld or don't have friends that weld then I would suggest buying the PFI set up. I would not trust some random shop to make my piping

I buy all mandrel bends and streight pipe. Cut and weld. I use 1/4 plate steel for connections to make things easy to take apart that won't leak. You need support brackets holding it all together so they won't fracture with the movement of the engine!!!! The most frustrating thing is having exhaust break every few months because it's not supported correctly. I have not done anything newer than my car (89) but I'd be glad to do a newer one and make all the Jigs so I can make a "kit" for other people. It won't be 3000.00 or more like normal kits.. what a rip!
Thanks! Scott

Awsome.. Sound like fun! I can get the bends or post a list. I'll need to know what parts you already have! It's a prity basic list some of the other stuff I'll have there at the shop. If you want pic's of how mine's setup I'll send them when I return from St. Louis.
I'm kinda at a stand still with my car.. just bumper and tuneing left to do. Starting all over again sounds like a fun challange!

Anyone's welcome any time. The more Bernard teaches me the better .
I got the 3gens down. You guys with the 4th gens.. Send me a pic of your engine bay! I almost bet you'll need to re-locate your battery to the trunk like I did. Yea.. it takes some weight off the front end but it also makes it 10000 times easier for installing the turbo setup! For you guys with 3d gens(with same engine as me) VG
I can make pipe from stock manifolds to turbo... turbo downpipe.. going to be 3" DP to a small section of flex that go's right above the stock sway bar. You'll have to run 3" or 2.5" from there to the back of the car. I'll mock it all up on my car to make sure it's right. Now that I've got one perfected you guy's stuff will be a breeze!

How much you think you'd charge me to mock up a exuastkit with a turbo flange that will fit a GARRETT T3/60-1 W/ .63 A/R TURBINE ? I'm looking to run relativey serious serious power and need a good reliable setup, only thing is I don't know how to go aboout getting my own custom exuast done. Since you seem to have the ability well underwraps,I'd love to work with you in getting one made up and shipped to me.

mike, i know that you want to keep your turn signals too, but the less bends in the piping, the more efficient the turbo is going to be.

I am first going to try an use the intercooler piping that I already have regardless if I lose my fogs. I just want to get it up and running then I can change things from there.

Dam*t I wish I live on the east coast or I'll be visiting too. I'm need to move back to civilization... let me know how the deal goes. Also, I found a guy locally selling his SC kit for $1700. Think I should bite or hold off for a turbo?
