Rebuilding my turbo feed pipe.. need opinions..

Here is what I am looking at doing.. I am going to make the front and rear banks join better. I am trying to figure out which collector to use. I know basicly they are the same, but does one flow better than the other?

And I am tossing up either 2 inch or 2 1/4 inch ( inner diameter ) into the collector (from the front/rear banks) and then 2 1/2 inch (ID) out of the collector (to the turbo).

Thoughts? Opinions?

#1 looks better in terms of space saving and #2 looks like a smoother merge

yeah # 2 looks like it has a smoother flow. Also wouldn't 3" be better from the collector to the turbo or would that reduce the exhaust gas velocity causing lag(Just thinking out loud )

is the turbo a 4 bolt standard flange? Those are 2.5 inches across right?

It's almost 2.5 inches wide.. Inner Diameter. I think it's 3 inches wide from the outside

Bags, you should PM Redmax...if I can remember, his new piping setup uses #2, he should have some insight. when it was up on the lift a few months ago you could see the drastic reduction in the amount of piping used as well as the total length compared to the old setup, it was an amazing change

Bags. I'd use the one that's more durable. I don't think the flow differences will be that much.
