Question about adjusting BOV

I got a question, maybe with a simple answer, but I just want to be safe and sure..
I have the HKS SSQ BOV, what if I tighten the bolt on the back or loosen it, will that affect vacuum or boost pressure?

If not, tightening it would give me what kind of sound, and loosening it would give me what typ of sound?

Thanks guys..

I think if you tighten it gets louder. By the way if you cant figure it out you could just give it to me

if you loosen it too much - you may vent @ idle.... meaning that you may lose metered air depending on your setup...i.e. running rich

I don't think the hks bov leaks at all no matter where it is set. I have seen 1/2 psi gains by tightening the hks on turbos

I have read from HKS themselves to not adjust that screw becasue over adjustment can result in failure of the inner diaphram.

You don't tighten and loosen it for sound.

Why can't you adjust the bov, that is what it is there for?

I have seen your setup beeing built. I had a small say in that set up. Customized your turbo off the sc setup in some aspects. I would def say adjust your bov. Your car look like such the sleeper!

Looking at your sigpic, it looks like the maf is after the bov. If that is the case, you won't lose metered air through the bov.

From my understanding.. The more boost your running, the tighter you should adjust your BOV. The less boost your running, the looser the BOV should be. Its all a matter of keeping the compressed air from bleeding away under boost while the plates are open. And Bleeding it off when the plates are closed. If your running 12 PSI or more of boost... The BOV should not be loose, chances are you would bleed off compressed air...

Best bet, I would keep the adjustment mid center...
