What size pulley are you using? Supporting mods for 3.25 pulley?

Guys,

I just ordered the Stillen SC last week. I have a full MEVI kit and the UR lightened crank pulley waiting to be installed. I'm going to order a y-pipe any day now once I make up my mind. The maxima I bought a month ago came with the full Stillen cat-back system. Needless to say, I want to make some big power. My long term goal is 300 at the wheels. Right off the bat, I'm changing my pulley from the stock 3.60 to ??? I'm thinking the 3.25, which equates to 10 psi. I figure it's right in the middle w/o pushing the envelope too much? I'm not sure. That's where you guys come in. What I would like to know is, will I need any supporting mods to go along with a smaller pulley right now? ie adjustable FPR, better/different FMU, Walbro fuel pump, bigger injectors, one step colder plugs... blah, blah, blah.

My initial setup will be: Stillen SC, MEVI, y-pipe, Stillen cat back exhaust, UR lightened crank pulley.

Thanks in advance for your input.

James

it seems like youre willing to pay to play.

the stillen kit comes with an auxillary pump so you will be fine on the fp.

People are using that pulley with stock injectors, but they are getting close to 100% DC.

if you want to get an emanage or an safc to tune it, that would probably be your best investment with whatever you have already purchase.

good luck.

Thanks for the response Steve. ^^^

I'm really torn between the 3.25 and the 3.125 pulley. Do you still feel the same if I go with the 3.125?

Getting into e-manage or an safc is scary **** to me. With my level of knowledge/experience, I'm a "bolt on" kind of guy for the time being. That's why I suggested the supporting mods that I did. I can comprehend/install that stuff. Regardless, thanks for your input.

you got pm.

there are still some guys with the 3.125 pulley on stock injectors, but i wouldnt feel safe with that. I just picked up a set of 300zx injectors for $165 and then sent them out to www.witchhunter.com to be flow tested and cleaned. At $12 an injector, you cant beat the price. Gordon (the owner) is also a great guy to talk with. I should be getting them back today. With 400cc injectors, i should be able to flow enough fuel for the 2.87 pulley that I am planning on putting on in the next few weeks. I also got the z32 maf and will be looking forward to tuning with that as well.
