What wideband O2 units can datalog ON the unit itself, no laptop
I've been doing extensive research and found that the Innovative LM1 can datalog on the unit itself with NO need for a laptop to be hooked up to it. Most other widebands cannot do this which is why I am currently leaning towards the Innovative LM1 (though you still need to download the info to a laptop or desktop to view the info). Does anyone else know of any other wideband o2 sensor units that can actually store the information ON THE UNIT ITSELF, with no need for a laptop to be present. This ability is key for those who do not have a laptop, or have a laptop that is so crappy that it is too slow to datalog (like me).
My Tech Edge unit will store about 2 mins worth, not a whole lot but enough for a few runs.
My Maximizer/FJO unit does not store but has about 4 times the sampling rate of the LM1. However its a much more expensive unit and can connect to a Palm as well. I switched over to it because it will cut the spray at a preset a/f ratio so its virtually Jime proof. Cost of the combo unit was around $800 but the Wideband itself is around $300 but that doesn't include the sensor or display.
My Son did a review of the LM1 in the Nov issue of Hot Compact and Imports, the same issue that has my Maximizer review. He really likes his, of course I would too if I got it for free like he did.

Here is the latest from PLX Devices. I have the M-300 wideband setup. I use it with my ZEMulator software, which has datalogging capabilities.
But, from what I just read, the new R series are pretty cool. 80 minutes of datalogging memory. No need for a laptop from my understanding. And I think you can still use their software with your laptop if you ever buy one in the future.
I thought I'd throw this in as well, but I think it requires a laptop:

Man if i would of saw this unit first i would of gone with it instead of the zeitronix.
that thing looks sweet
I have an LM-1. Its a nice unit, the only downside being they make you buy $120 in add-ons to log RPM, which should be included IMO for the accurate tuning capability they advertise. The control box is also rather large, but I'm just gonna wire it into my center console. Just floating around on the passenger seat right now, lol.

Get the PLX R500 once available Neal.
Just think of the additional cost vs. the other cheaper WB02s out there as outweighed by the cost of a laptop, EGT gauge, knock meter(if works), and hopefully a 3bar pressure sensor input/output and Gtech Pro.
Not to mention the software package kicks azz.
I think this and the eManage GOLD will be a killer combo.

I have been using the TechEdge www.wbo2.com for awhile, like said above, not much memory, but you can download it in the pits and go at it again.

I believe it's through the pressure sensor plug/port, so you can't use both which means only based on TPS %. I'm sure somebody will come up with a way around that.
I've heard the dynamic AFR mentioned, however I haven't seen if that works.
I like the accel map and map tracing features, but really just the support tool seems nicer.
I haven't played with the Gold Support Tool much, so I'm still learning.

I read somewhere you hook it up to the pressure sensor but that didn't make sense to me. You would connect a map sensor to the pressure sensor right? And it says you can just type the A/F you want and it will automatically compensate.
