Clutchnet problem

I know I am not boosted but I thought I would post it here since most N/A guys don't see 104 mph traps. I have a cutchnet 6-puck sprung hub rated for 300-350 ft.lbs of torque (I am probably making about 270 lbs of torque at the crank right now).

I thought I blew the transmission last night at the track but I'm not so sure now. Will have to open it up.

Basically, the car shifts just fine, but when I step on the gas it either grabs or doesn't, I had to go back home cruising at 50-55 mph, keeping it steady around 2200-2500. Doing that and not accelerating at all it was fine.

Once I accelerated a little, then let off the gas, but the speed/rpm kept climbing slowly, the car kept accelerating.

Also for some reason my idle went from 1400-1500 (normal after 3.5 swap) to 2100-2200 (and it varies).

My dad seems to think the tranny is fine because it shifts fine.

When I press the clutch it feels just like it did before. I take it that means the pressure plate itself is fine.

My money is currently on a bad clutch disk (after only 900 miles, bad break-in perhaps?). I missed 4th on the last two runs (don't ask). First of the two, fine. After that second run it started acting up right away. I had to stop on the return road.

Then I pressed the clutcfh, started it up, and it went straight to 6000 (I didn't even touch the gas). Stopped the car again, then started it up again. That is when it started idling at 2100-2200. Had to go real easy on the gas.

Thoughts?

Yes, thanks Neal.

It was just the stupid TPS that went off the super cheap bracket I made for it to fit on the 2k2 TB. I deserve a solid kick in the ***** for this.

You arent the only one that this has happend to.....

My TPS bumped off when I launched at the track for the first time, resulting in a ~40 sec 1/4 mile time...

Certainly not as embarassing as killing a 05 Mustang by 4 car lengths on my 13.78 run

Yeah, but I almost had a heart attack when I went through the traps.
