Ways to test MAP sensor?

So I've come to find out that my MAP sensor is not reading boost apparently, and as such my emanage never realizes the car is boosted, and as such it never starts using my auxiliary 850cc injectors and I max my 370s out by about 5000 rpm at just 11.8psi.

Assuming it isn't something as simple as the vacuum hose coming off of it (it's up under the dash so I haven't checked it yet), any good ways to test such a sensor.

disconnect the vacuum hose going to is and use a vacuum gauge to check for leaks. if there is vacuum (and for you boost) then check the electrical. assuming is similar to the stock one it has 3 wires. check the voltage to see if its in spec. if all the elelctrical is good then all thats left is the sensor itself. get a hand held vacuum pump and while its still connected check the voltage as you add vac the voltage should decrease.

what brand sensor is it?

Thanks for that, I'm going to try to test it tomorrow. I think my map sensor is a GM map sensor iirc.
