Im asking 1500 plus shipping, there is also a thread in the 4th gen for sales but i figure i might as wll let you boosted guys know whats goin on too. This is used of coarse from 96 5sp with only 5k or so miles on it.

I don't have too much faith in giving a Newbie $1500 without some answers. Nowadays people can get ripped off really easily (not saying thats wat u r doing) so pics and details are a plus.

 

I got it from Delio. I'm the one who purchased his car a while back, its just that i dont have the time to put in the new trans. Ive spent so much time workin on the car that I'm just happy to atleast drive it for now. I cant post pics but i prolly could take pics of it and email them to you. Eithere way I know how people feel about this and just want some assurance since other people arent as nice.

yes it will work in any 95-01 tranny. I wouldn't know what to do without mine, its one of my favorite mods.

Yea im not in a hurry, although people are telling me not too sell it now casue its such a great mod, If i didnt have the JIC suspension to make up for the handlin then it'd be a different story. But driving with out it everyday does make me wanna slam it back in there once i hit the twisties.

 

Let me just put it this way...the longer you hold it, the more you'll eventually get for it IMHO.

 

Word, people dont understand how much of a difference it makes until you drive in a car with it.

 

Someone serious into FI will eventually get desperate enough to pay the big price.

Hell, I know Cattman had a European customer looking for one awhile ago for a Rally car or something and I'm not 100% sure on numbers, but if Cattman was scrounging for one to sell him used, I'd bet he was willing to pay ~$2K or more even vs. having one custom made by Quaife.

 

Wow, thats crazy, but then again i could see myself doing it, makes me wonder why im selling it. Someone take this thing quick before i change my mind.

 

It cost that team well under $3k for the diff... but only because Quaife had most of the parts just kickin' around (leftovers). A one-off from them would definitely be possible for about $3k.

If anyone feels like getting a bunch of people together to put down deposits, then MAYBE Cattman could get another round of great LSDs from either Quaife or Kaaz (clutch-type LSDs... almost as good) for as low as $1500. But that's definitely being very, very optimistic.

EDIT: I know this from speaking with Brian Catts and Quaife back-to-back. Just in case anyone was wondering.

 

I've driven a quaife equipped max, it was impressive as hell. BriGuyMax's who's became Jay25s who's became someone elses just recently hehe.
