I did not feel like messing w/3 inch piping. Re-used the same 2.5 SCer pipe but wanted to reclock the blower.

Remove the blower from its bracket and loosen the 5-6 allen bolts highlighted in blue to reclock the blower.

then cut the stock SCer pipe right before the bend as such

grab the little piece with the bend and cut the bend off as such

reclocking it? no, All you are doing is clocking the outer casing upward to eliminate one bend. Much more beneficial then straight which is a pain to work with. Bent upward is much better to work and will flow much better

Heres another idea...Re-Clock it the other way and fab a charge pipe accross the front end of the car, and then use Place Racing Pipes to Finish it off...Stephan said that it brings down charge temps quite a bit

thats an outstanding idea he did. I would upgrade to a t trim and a 2.87 or 2.62 and add an intercooler to cool the charge. The t trim will flow enough CFM so the loss will be minimal.

I assume you checked the belt tension and the pipes for leaks. I am sure you did but just want to make sure you check everything before you start getting pi$$ed

I did all that. I did a V1 install about 3-4 weeks ago. I am hitting 10PSI with 7200 RPM rev limiter and a 2.87 pulley. I did all that already. There is no vacuum leaks. This is the same boat Ians was in when he got his blower. HE was puzzled where did the rest of his boost went. This blower needs a rebuild pretty bad.

By the way - as a note:

I found that the SC was the problem with my missing boost by spraying water/soap mixture straight on the blower housing and revving the engine......made pretty bubbles!

I kept the V1 Bracket and upgraded to a polished V2 to fix it.

would an exhaust restriction limit the boost?

Or maybe you really need to have a 3 inch charge pipe?

I'm hitting 13PSI on the stock charge pipe and on 2.5" exhaust before I upgraded to 3"

So that's probably not it.

Did you feel a big power difference once you switched to a 3" exhaust on the Butt Dyno ?? in your mind, is it worth it ? Im tryin to decide if its worth it

3 inch is good if your boosting 10PSI plus. It helps your top end alot. Helps the car breath better. Dont use a test pipe on a 3 inch exhaust. I did that and boy did I lose a bunch of low end torque.

Why use a butt dyno when I have real Dyno proof?

Remember, I'm leaning out up top because JWT sucks and I can't get the Z32 MAF working properly - but up until that point it is accurate. (About 6500RPM I lean out)

nice, top end keeps on going. What size pulley was this with? and you were using 370cc? I have a 3 y pipe but since the blower is shot I am going to have to wait to come back up. Kind of hard to go from 338 tq to 260-270 right now. Thats alot of torque loss.

matty - gutted 3" Cat.

Jay25 - 2.87" Pulley, 370cc Injectors, A32 MAF. The tq #'s you got off your setup before were just ridiculous....I've never been able to get over 285 - that can't ALL be just because I'm leaning out some up top......

Will I lose alot of low end with a 3" test pipe ?

I installed a 3 inch test pipe and believe me from a dead stop I felt like a brick sitting still. On top end is outstanding. With the SCer you already lose torque since the blower is belt driven. But lets see Ians opinion since he gutted his Cat.

Can you run a test-pipe/gutted cat without pulling a code? I don't think my o2 is bad, it might be, but I think its pulling my KS code also. This is the second KS I've put in, and it still pulls the code. Im getting 0304 and a "O2 Sensor Circuit Malfuncition, Bank 1"- I know my cat is bad, its a warpspeed high-flow, so its trashed by now. Would you guys get a new o2 or try ANOTHER knock sensor? (Sorry to thread mooch, didn't mean to)

If you can, I'll order a test-pipe.
