that kit runs off 3 cylinders...I think harry of paradox has it on his car. I've seen it in person and the manifold was nice, but running off 3 cylinders =

the PFI kit is much better, go with that!!!

The PFI kit is made very well, and almost bolts up perfectly. There is some trimming and cutting needed but the kit is a whole is supurb. However there are a few things you will need in addition to the kit. 1st thing you will need is some kind of fuel management, either a SAFC II or Greddy E-Manage. I started with a SAFC II and it worked good with the kit, however I had greater asperations and switched to E-Manage. The price difference is about $200, but E manage is a whole lot more advanced with greater adjustability in respects to fuel management, timing control and, injector changes. The second thing is a fuel pump with greater flow. I think every one on the forum uses either the walbro 255LPH, or the external pump that comes with the Stillen supercharger.
In respects to the TSI kit I couldn't tell you, I haven't seen one and I have no clue how well it runs off one bank.

well it must have been updated since the first run because I've seen it in person and it was not that way at all. I would think the manifold would be similar to the VG30ET, but its was no where close. a front manifold with 3 runners is all I saw...

technically the other kit would be "better" cause of the manifold setup, but then again, this "crossover" pipe has yet to be seen and could totally void the efficiency of a good manifold setup. also the T25 they give you isn't exactly phenomonal either. IMO PFI still wins, design, options and its PROVEN and TESTED!

If you were to run a t25 off both banks that thing would choke out the motor. Our 3 litres produce way to much exhaust to flow efficently through a t25. In order for the t25 to work it would have to run off one bank.

That's weird, I would think it would be one bank, I wonder what the $300 difference in piping price I got quoted between PFI and TSI was for.

if thats the case, this is might not be that bad an option...though more exact info or pics would be nice. there are plenty T25 custom flanged turbo upgrades used by the DSM guys that flow well up to 600hp. not too pricy either

I have a Nissan E-spec 180SX type S13, it comes with the CA18DET engine wich is a 1,8 litre DOHC 4 banger with a T25 turbo.

The turbo starts building boost @2k rpm and is on full boost @3k rpm (1 bar)
then when I hit ~6k rpm the boost starts to drop off.

So if the T25 chokes allready on a 1.8 litre four banger, think about how it would behave on a 3 litre V6! It can't even hold boost till the SX' 7500rpm redline, and that's a tiny 1.8 litre engine... This engine died recently and I'm saving up for a RB25DET swap for the SX, till that time I'm gonna drive a E-spec Maxima again (cefiro bodystyle)

Bottom line, the T25 is to small for the VQ30, it would even be to small for the VQ20... Could be a funny turbo for a pulsar 1.6 I guess..

And how the hell do you make 600hp out of a T25?
