New Plan!!!!!

The timing chain cover was worse than I thought. When the timing ring let go the timing changed while was under boost and I now have 30 psi of compression in #5 and 90 psi in #6. No sense in changing the timing cover if the engine is shot.
I've done a lot of sole searching in the past week and have a few options.
1. Burn the car and make SMORES and punch!
2. Take every thing off the car sell all the parts and the shell of the car, and get honda hybrid.....and I don't mean a h22a in a CRX.
3. Take every thing off the car, sell all the parts and burn the shell and have SMORES and punch.
4. Suck it up and do a VQ35 swap with the turbo.

I'm thinknig I'm going to go with the swap and get it over with. I've been doing some research in the motor forum and the swap doesn't look that bad, just a little rigging. If memory serves I haven't seen a whole lot of people having problems with the vq35 with FI. I could be wrong I don't know. Neal mentioned main bearings going bad but no specifics on the pressures experienced when the problem occured.

The swap won't happen for a few weeks and any thoughts will be appreciated.

I was actually looking at a couple VQs on eBay yesterday, you are looking at about 2 grand for the vq35. I've got birds in my wallet.. cheap, cheap, cheap!! I would personally go back with the vq30 since all that was just a fluke how it happened. Just my .02. If you do decide to part out, dibs on the t4.

Go with a DEK motor...most will have lesser milage and about the same cost as a DE motor.
