Damn Tilley....I can't believe it happened so soon. I thought this engine would be around for a while. That's some bad luck right there. I hope you get it fixed soon man. Any idea when you're gonna have the free time to do it? Or any new ideas you may put into the rebuild?
And why don't you throw on that hacked apart 00VI you had lying around, or did that bust apart at some point? I thought you liked it better than the 2k2....

 

I have some ideas............i got a vg30de sitting in my garage, gotta check it out. But first its getting another crank and rods. BTW the crank and rods that were in this were your old ones nick lol. The rod bent into and L shape and snapped in half, put hole in block/oil pan, it shattered the hardened steel wrist pin, broke bottom end of piston off, but big end of rod was still on crank and still ran when i pulled it into the garage. BTW now im workin on redoing the Y pipe and using a set of headers too make it off of. No more cast manifolds/less restriction.

 

Bet it was just a bit noisy.

 

only hit block like 3 times then wedged inbetween journals, then it was quit again. I drove it like 2 miles after that.

 

Lucky you didn't have an oil fire on the exhaust or something...

 

It was still cold only made it a mile from my shop.

I got to see some of the parts from Tilley's car. I think he knew I was coming up to pick up my car and that's why the engine blew. It seems like whenever I go up there, his engine blow's. I think I'm bad luck
