MEVI Vaccum Source??

While I was working on the car today, I've noticed that my VI only activates partially. The vaccum source is from the fpr and I was wondering if I need to relocate that to somewhere better or am I stuck with the partially opening vi. My friend also brought up an interesting point, the vi switch requires vaccum to activate the butterfly valves if I am under boost and the manifold is seeing positive pressure, how do the vi activiate?

dont have a vi but i think thats what you need the vacuum storage tank for, so that the vi activates under boost. also you have to remember that at WOT you make very little vacuum on an n/a car so i think in order for the vi to open all the way you still need a vacuum storage tank. even more so for a boosted car because obviously its not making any vacuum when its time for the vi to open. someone w/ a vi correct me if i am wrong but thats my understanding.
