Air Temp Sensor

I just realized that my plug from the air temp sensor got disconnected and burned up on the exhaust side of the turbo (melted). Does the air temp sensor effect the car performace in anyway or should I just not worry about it?

You may still get a code for it, P0110, like mine. I bled the clutch and soaked it by accident. I had an extra one though. . No performance loss, just had a CEL for it.

I like having it in because emanage monitors intake temp. My buddies had his hanging in the engine bay for a while and effected starting on a few muggy days. I conected it back up to the intake when I had the car one weekend, and he said that fixed the starting problem.
