a few s/c questions
a few s/c questions
im considering s/c soon, i have a 2000 gle all stock accept injen cai, can some one list everything that is needed to supercharge it, also how reliable is this, i would be driving it daily, not that it should a be concerned when doing this but what kind of gas mileage loss would i see, i know with my turbo car i could not boost and get 20 something miles a gallon but a s/c is always boosting? what would be needed to run stock boost for now , around 6-7psi. also what are these motors good for hp wise and how much boost can they handle?

Only way to supercharge now is by piecing together your own kit using matty's supercharger starter kit, or buying a used Stillen supercharger on the forums.
I got 24mpg just driving it chills (no WOT boosting). If you go around WOT boosting everywhere, gas mileage will of course go down. I am also selling a used kit, should you be interested, see sig

With my "V1 Supercharger Starter Kit" and building the kit yourself, you're looking to spend about $2400-$2700. But rememeber thats a kit you built yourself, the way you like it, and not someone elses used parts.
Look at my thread below for more information on parts and what you will need. If you build a kit, you wont need all the money up front. You can build it as funds allow which is a huge plus.
