Boost controller talk

I have a Greddy Profec E01 boost controller. I run it in manual mode. Settings are SET @ 60, GAIN @ 50, START @ 100kpa. SET effects the peak boost, GAIN is how fast it will get their and START is where the controller will first allow the waste gate to open. I see ~155kpa with those setting. I seem to get a little hesitation when I shift and I think it might have to do the the GAIN and START settings. I was going over my data logs from one of my runs and I noticed two things.

In 1st geat I am at 98% solinoid duty cycle for the whole gear. Could this be a function of the GAIN being to low? In first the boost is comming on really fast, maybe the GAIN is to conservative? Could the shutter from the launch be bouncing the solinoid?

When I shift and go back to full throttle it bogs for a split second, not hurting me too bad, but it is somthing that if fixed could add back a few tenths. The logs show that as the boost ramps up close to 100kpa, which is just about when the TPS goes back to 100%, the soliniod goes to 98% for a few tenths. Then lets the boost build up past 100kpa then about 125kpa starts in at 70% then maybe half a second later settles in at about 55% for the entire gear. Its more pronounced as I shift into 2nd, a little less as I shift into 3rd, a little less as I shift into 4th. But the bogging seems to feel more pronounced as I go up in gears.

The user manual for the Profec E01 indicates to set the START at 20kpa less than the target boost. So I guess this is the first thing I need to adjust, perhaps 125kpa would be a good place considering thats where the controller starts to work. Next is the GAIN I was thinking 70% might be better. The first gear thing is wierd and Id like to get full boost quicker.

Thoughts?

Another thing hit me last night could it be the blow off valve causing the MAF to fluctuate?
