5th Gen s/c maf location?

With the stillen kit, their are 2 pipes. The MAF goes onto the the pipe from the blower to the air filter.

Has anyone relocated the MAF onto the charge pipe like a 4th with the bov in the same or close to the same spot as the 4th gen? Turning the intake pipe into a cold air intake instead?

If this is done, is there any negative side of moving the MAF?

I tried and had all kinds of issues. Why? I have no idea, but the 5th gen does not like the MAF on the charge side. So I gave up and went back to the intake side.

I think there are others that have tried with similar problems.

there is a huge thread on here somewhere about it....it was either stephenmax who had all the issues or iansw...search for threads in the supercharged/turbocharged forum that they started...

I do remember that they had a lot to say about it...and figured something out in the end...

It was me that had problems for a year - until I decided to install 3" piping and on a whim tried it on that with the MAF turned 90 degrees from where it had been.
(if you use the stock piping for the 4th Gen it by default makes the MAF turned 90 degrees and does not work.)

If you put in 3" piping or cut and re-weld the flange for the stock 4th Gen piping to be 90 degrees different, then that works.

It's a sticky in the S/C Forum.

As for a 5th Gen - no idea.
