Griffen Radiator is In !!

Fit pretty good. Had to shave down the posts at the bottom of the stock fans to be able to slide into the mounts on the rad. All in all I am Very satisfied.

All I gotta do is get a new upper rad hose from home depot. That nice Nylon hose

Nice, I saw it in the test posts too. It would actually be really nice if they could be made for the SC relocated over flow bottle. It would make the install that much cleaner. Whats the price on these, $400ish?

I see red injectors.. does DW take the stock ones and make them flow more or fo you have regular 259?

DW takes the stock injectors and modifies them to larger. Mine are 555's.

The radiators are $327.70 from Griffen plus shipping

Havent put the charge pipe back on yet. Im trying to fix a leak at the TB that I cant figure out for the third time. I really dont think the clearance issue is going to be a problem. It only sits out about 3/4" farther. Maybe not even.

I ordered it though JDmmax on here and the wait was LONGGG...I almost ordered directly from Griffen. They state 3 weeks and youll have one. Not sure how accurate that is.

The only fitment issue was with the fans. I had to cut the lower posts to fit into the new rad. They were too wide.

Matty,
Why did you replace your radiator? Did your OEM fail? or is this one more efficient due to it's bigger size? Stats? Weight compared to OEM?

My OEM had 140,000 miles on it, still in great condition but this rad is alot larger then the stock OEM rad. I wanted a different radiator due to my new motor and my blower. Figure it cant hurt.

The weight is alot more then the stock unit. I would say at least 3x-4x more heavy. The stock one is really light though

Well the charge pipe fit great, no fitment issues at all.
Got the TB leak fixed finally.

I gotta go and get a new radiator cap. I guess the stock one doesnt fit onto the Griffen cause its leaking bad.

Havent really monitered the temps yet. I will get around to it once I get to drive the frig*n thing. Just dropped the car off for the undercoating/rustproofing and installing the body kit before the coating. (body kit wont stick to the undercoating)

Anyone thinking of getting this radiator, definetly go ahead and buy it. The thing is beefy and heavy I love it.

Griffen: 1800-722-3723
Part #: 9E-KB795-01
Price: $327.70 + shipping
Op: Ben

BTW: The stock Cap fits. I guess my stock one got bent. Got a stant and it fits perfectly.

I does sound nice and looks nice, but the "heavy" part is what's bothering me. I'm constantly removing weight, I don't want more. LOL If and when my radiator fails, I would consider this one, only if the gains can be proven and measured. Theoretically, it will drop the temps, but I would like to see hard numbers! I suppose I could go to thier website and see if they've done the tests, but real life tests are the best. So, be a guinea pig and install a water temp guage and report back your findings!! Thanks for telling us about this, as I didn't know it existed.

Matty,

Did you consider the KOYO radiator before getting this one? There's a group deal going right now.
