Need help quick!!!
Ok this isn't too bad but its real annoying, as many of you read in my other post I blew the motor up in my max the other day. well I have it all back together with a 86000 i30 vq from a 96. Heres my issue!!!
I am emange blue technosquare with 12 degreess pulled and have 550 injectors. the damn car wont start wither hot or cold with the fuel pump on. I am pulling the fuse everytime to get it to start. it is flooding out bad. Itransferred my injectors and all the sensors and made sure I tied all the vaccuum lines from my 97 motor into the new motor correctly as the 97 has three sensors that the 96 doesnt. the one that is stuck on the top of the manifold, the boost sensor and the one that is down near the knock sensor its green.
anyways I was looking at my emanage and am not sure if there is anything I can do to take fuel out at start up.
I have no clue what I am doing with emanage I had a shop tune the car. I am not running a fmu, or adjustable regulator. any help would appreciated. my number is 260 557 8081. not sure when I have time to check this out in here. ps leaving for florida thursday evening and would like to figure this out b4 then.

yup. I kinda ommitted one thing I didn't swap the back injector harness from my motor to the new motor, this harness ties in the three injector on the back rail and the crank position sensor, oil psi sensor. I left those sensors on the new motor as well.
My injectors when you turn the key just to on, they sit there and click and the fuel pump runs, instead of like before the pump kicks on the injectors, run for just a split second and then you hear nothing.
Anyone think maybe its just that harness that came with the new motor? Thats the first thing I am going to change. however its gonna be a week b4 I can do it as I am out of time and driving the car to fla tonight for a weeka nd cant be pulling the intake down there swap this harness.

one more thing I got into emanage and pulled up the maf map and pulled -10 out on the 0-600 rpm range according to maf voltage, now every once in a while the car is popping a fuel air metering code? Just firgure this has something to do with the emanage change? Any ideas? especially for the cold start side of this?
Changing emanage settings is not a real solution to finding out the problem. If you had the exact same set up on the old motor and no issue, I would be looking into something your missing on the motor swap.
ok heres the deal.... i swapped everything but the back injector harness that rund behind the ps pump, Iam a retard!!! cause now that motor is in it is gonna be ***** to swap!!! I pride myself in being thourough but I overlooked that I swapped my crank position sensor over and pulled the intake manifold again and cleaned all the connectors its better but still a ***** to start. Heres the deal.... b4 watch your fpsi gauge when you turn the key on it should shoot up to 34-40 psi and stay ther with no pump running. atleast thats what mine use to do! now it only pops up to 20 psi and wont go any higher by just turning key on. My guess is that becasue Im not getting enough psi the injectors arnt functioning properly and are dumping fuel instead of spraying the cold start prime.? Any hints on possibilities Ive already looked at the fp reg its good no leaks. the vaccuum lines all look right, but I need to get my buds 97 max to make perfectly sure! I run the stock fpr. there is no need to put a adjustable one in (side note- new thread if you wanna reply- I have no idea why some of you are running adjustable fpr, especially when you can tune with emanage there is no need to do this in my mind and other very good professional tuners not just my words here). once the car is running fuel psi is fine as a matter of fact since I dorve the car to fla, I cleared codes for knock sensor (i plan on replacing it) On that note I still have the fpsi go up cause of the way the stock fpr works. which for the last half the trip no codes at were tripped no mil lite at all!!!!! not even the o2 I have no cats and all three o2's the rear one always popped a code, and now it doesnt even trip I suspect the technosquare ecu has something funky going on. and I didnt boost on the way here either. made 5psi like 3 times on accident. Do you guys no how hard it is to drive a 340 hp car and not be able to boost it casue your afraid something bad will happen. I hate it, but better safe than sorry? you know. and then theres fact you always have to look for a wide open area to park so yoou can pop the clutch the to start it!!!!! Stupid car. I know its something dumb, and I cant figure it out!!!!! man its driving me nuts I've thought of everything, the pump is good the fuel lines arnt kinked, I may replace the fuel filter its not that old, what else am I missing here, the crank position sensor is off the my old motor, the cam one too, the whole manifold and all th TB, only thing is that one harness???also used my flywheel sensor.does the knock sensor keep it from starting??? I plan on replacing just cause but that doesnt make sense with my issue??? I mean its like the ecu doesnt turn the pump on or voltage low back to it give it the proper initial prime for start???? What could I have messed with during the change to mess with the fuel pump? these are all things I'll be checking when I get home. BTW there is a huge difference between a 164k motor and a 86k motor! the egts on the new motor are running right about 1375 vs 1300 on olde motor- i attribute the hike to compression being better in the new motor? which of course means another tune
well, I ran my emanage with 440cc, no fmu, no fpr. In fact before the car was tuned with motor swap it started right up with the 440's, couldnt give it much gas or it would die. I bet your problem is the harness.
