Wideband O2 for 3rd Gen w/Emulator (Live Edit)..

I've read prior threads about the several wideband sensors available. I've looked at the PLX, NGK, and Zeit units. All appear to be very pricey, cheapest I've seen is about $265 for the PLX unit. All I'm looking for is a way to accurately measure the A/F ratio of the car (turbo) so that I can adjust mixture and tune the car via Live Edit and make as needed adjustments to boost via AVC-r. Is there any other options or a cheaper unit in any of these three choices given I don't need something that is going to hook into an Emanage system or the like such as with most you 4th gen guys. All help is appreciated as always!

The cheapest one I know of is $195 - that is without any gauge to actually view your AFR.

I paid $550 for my wideband (it does a bunch of other fancy stuff too)... $200-300 is pretty good for just a basic wideband.

Looks like the PLX kit with the guage for $265 is the winner. Thanks!

You can get the Innovate Motorsports LC-1 with XD-16 guage for $285 if you shop around.....

IMO, Innovates gauge is much better than PLX's. Compare to two and see for yourself.

Bottom line, you should explore all options before you choose.

They look pretty much the same to me... What is better about the innovate gauge?

edit: i see the innovate has a record and peak hold button built into the gauge which is kindof neat actually.

Thanks Jeremy! I know I'll likely need help tuning! Still waiting on Schneider Cams to get back so I can reinstall the engine and get her back on the road!
