I came across a local sale of 370cc injectors for the 240sx/300zx but when I asked about the color I was told that they were brown. I checked the injector color chart but brown's not one of them. Could the purple have changed to brown over time?

 

I have 2 sets of 370's. The new set is purple, but the older set looks dirty green from age.

 

never seen any brown! Are they aftermarket?

 

i seem to possibly remember hearing about brown top injectors some years ago...

 

yep I knew I remembered hearing about them. looks like some claim they are just discolored purple tops or possibly an injector we just don't see very often.

Those ones that Bags showed look just like my old ones. But mine have some purple spots left so I know they were originally purple. They are out of a FWD SR20DET, 370's none the less.

 

I've only ever had purple 370's from FWD and RWD sr20dets...never ever brown...

 

They are probably faded purple 370's or they could be phase I 370's out of the pre 95 300zx. There were brown phase I 370's (90-94 300zx and Q45). They will not fit your fuel rail so be sure they are phase II
