Feedpipe gasket? where?

Well I think I have an exhaust leak between the exhaust manifold and the feedpipe. Those crappy Stone racing headers came with some gaskets which were bad when I pull the feedpipe of during the last motor swap, I was force to run without gaskets and now I think I have a leak. Where can I find some replacement 3 bolt gaskets? I called Warpspeed but they use the stock type o ring gaskets with mine wont work with since I don't have the groove for them to drop in. I've search on google but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I need the 2.5in ones.

There are some 3" 3 bolt gaskets here, not sure if the spread on the bolts would match up, or if you could use it at all - http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...sm_exhaust.htm

2 3/4" 3 bolt - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Felpr...RCHQ3aUSQ3a101

forget gaskets. Copper RTV sealant >>> gaskets unless you plan on taking it apart time after time after time. Copper is the high temp stuff (orange is high temp too, and would also work OK, check the temp ranges on it).

I was looking into that but they handle a max of 700 degrees F. Isn't EGT higher than that?

whoa... you're right it does say only 700F intermittent. WTF? I had no idea it was rated to be that low. Anyways, I used it on my setup without a problem, we used it on BriGuyMax's 350Z TT without a problem, etc. I truly had no idea it was only rated at 700F. It even says in the product description perfect for turbocharged engines, exhaust manifolds, headers, etc. I have no explanation for why it's that low, or why it has worked flawlessly for me in multiple applications. EGTs definitely get way way above 700F.

PERMATEX ULTRA COPPER ® Hi-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker

For turbocharged or high performance engines. The most advanced, high temperature RTV silicone gasket available. Sensor safe, low odor, non-corrosive. Superior adhesion. Three times more oil resistant than conventional silicones; eight times more flexible than cut gaskets. Temperature range 75°F to 700°F intermittent; resists auto and shop fluids and vibration.

Suggested Applications:

Exhaust manifolds / headers, valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings. Part# 81878 3.0 oz. $5.69
Only other thing I can suggest is OEM gaskets, assuming the stone racing headers use a similar flange.

Well I'll try it out and see if that works. Is there any good way to check if the headers are sealing properly? I was just going to spray soapy water on it but theres little room to work with so is there any other way?

I don't really know of a good way to test. Just make sure both surfaces are clean with brake cleaner, apply the RTV appropriately, torque it down to spec and with the proper torque pattern, and pray. That's what I do. You might get some little pin-***** releases of exhaust that you'd never in a million years notice. I had some of those that I had no idea were there until I took it back apart, and you could see little tiny channels where the exhaust gas had leaked through, but it was a non-issue.
