weird smoking problem

ok I not sure why the car is smoking but it will only smokes at idel but it smokes enough to where you cant see and it take about 15 sec after it starts to idel.
Ok I check the following so far:
Turbo has no shaft play
Their is no oil in the intake pipe coiming from turbo
the drain line is not restricked
I pulled all the plugs and none of them have oil on them.
The car still feels the same power wise
what eles could make it smoke so bad I was thinking pvc valve but not smoking this bad.
The valve cover is venting to the atmusphere.

Maybe one of the valve covers is leaking oil onto one of the exhaust manifolds? I have a 75 spitfire that my valve cover leaked onto the pacesetter headers, and it did the same exact thing. I'm sure if it was the front header then you wouldve seen it already, maybe check the rear.

Oh, OK
The way you made it sound it sounded like it was so bad you couldn't see infront of you, not in back.

What color is the smoke?

I hope it's not white smoke lol, Head gasket time!!!!

It seems as though it probably smokes all the time, just when you are at idle the smoke collects into a cloud. Maybe, you are running pig,pig rich at idle? How's your afr?

It sounds like you have a cracked ring to me, but I could be wrong. I would do a compression test on your cylinders. But then again, you said that the plugs didn't have oil on them, so that might rule out a cracked ring.

Do you have the pcv catch-can mod? If it seems to run fine, I would put that on, and see how much oil is blowing by the pcv. If a lot of oil collects there, that's your problem and you have bigger issues to deal with now

how do you have ur system vented? do you have a breather on both valve covers? if for some reason fumes are not able to escape from the valve covers, it will get pushed into the cylinders passed the rings and will smoke out alot. I did this by mistake when i did my turbo setup, and was so much smoke i thought the engine was done with. So put ur thumb on the outlet of the valve covers to make sure its pushing out air/fumes, both in front and rear valve cover.

Do you have a restrictor in your oil supply line to the turbo ?

Its possible that the seal is blown and leaking oil out the exhaust housing.

well I used -3a line and the gauge only show like 30psi wide open throttle ,but your right it could be blow and leaking in the exhaust housing! But how to check and verfiy that?

30psi of oil pressure ? That is way too much pressure for the turbo.

I also hope that is NOT your ENGINE oil pressure. Mine is around 85psi with oil temps around 165F under WOT in 5500+RPMs.

With cold engine I see as much as 100psi of oil pressure @ 3500RPM.

Werent you using this turbo before though? Why would you suddenly need a restrictor? I agree with the fact that you need one but how come it didnt smoke out before? I used a nitrous jet for mine and drilled a .4 hole to restrict it, has worked fine.

Maybe after time it takes a toll on the seals
