I've got a Greddy-S BOV set up in bypass formation....re-routed pre-turbo/post MAF.

I've connected lines to both the larger vaccuum and smaller line on the BOV which I was told helps it work more effectively. I've heard several people talk about thier BOV being set open at specific pressures.

My question is, how do I determine and test that my BOV is opening at that specific pressure? The only way I can think of is to crank up the boost, and if the psi falls back to a certain level, then that is where the BOV is set/opening.

Is there a better way? I feel like doing it how I understood is kinda like shooting in the dark. Also, what tends to be the magic number to set a BOV over boost being run? 1/2 psi, one psi over boost being run before the BOV should open?

Thanks for the knowledge!

With mine (Turbo XS RFL) you put washers in it to make the spring stronger, I tried with both stronger spring and weaker. Iv done alot of reading and asking around and usually i get the same answer. If your getting surge when you let off on low boost, then make the BOV more sensitive to the point that when you let off you wont hear the surge. Right now my BOV goes off even at 0 vacuum/pressure, reason being is that I like the sound lol, so i made it most sensetive possible. If i let off at 1psi and above, without BOV going off i'll get alot of surge and thats no good.
