Search harder, theres a few VE-Ts here, and also look in the boosted forums.

You'll have to fab up some headers if I'm not mistaken... But as for strengthening the engine, I think people also use VG-ET pistons. The crank is forged, rods are already super strong, and the iron block (like the VG) is ready for 600 fwhp without a problem. As far as getting a properly matched turbo, I'd say start with a t3/t4 combo as those are easily had for a decent price, and you can go bigger or smaller based on your needs. The engine already makes decent top end power so a smaller turbo for quicker spool up would probably be ideal. The fabrication alone will run your wallet into the ground so you might want to try and save anywhere you can, unless money is no object. In that case I have plenty more ideas, lol.

Video just for fun...pootube!!!

i've recently learned that manifolds from a z31 (iirc) can be used (someone will fill me in here, surely) , as the ports match....the only mod needed on the manifolds is that one of the flanges is a backwards, so you'd have to cut, flip, and re-weld it.....

VE-T is something i plan to look into in the future, once i gain some more knowledge on the subject, and get some money

but good luck!

(also, z31 is probably incorrect, but i recently sat a set of manifolds from one of the 300 series nissans next to mine, and compared them for compatibility.........will let you guys know when i find out which they were )

O i will check the other forums and look a lil harder, i just want to gain as much knowledge as possible before i decide to tackle a project of this magnitude, and of course get a better understanding of how much this is going to cost me. I also so thinking about the smaller turbos just becuase i really dont want any lag.

General question? Do u really think i would need to beef up the internals... my goal is about 300 to 350 hp.. Comments and info are greatly appreciated, links as well

The issues with small turbos and the stock tranny is that they will kill them quick. A medium size turbo will be less harsh on the tranny.

I would like to get a holset turbo like an HY35 or similar. I forget the exact number but its a very good turbo for your goals and they are cheap.

As for turbo manifold design check out maxmaxima91s setup once he gets his pics back online.

Dude Squires Turbo makes a universal turbo. From what I know it takes very little fabbing and underhood space. go to www.ststurbo.com Oh I have some info on high performa torque converters which in combination a with fluid cooler should keep you outta the tranny shop.

With that amount of power, you wont need stronger internals. The VE can handle boost just fine. Transmission... well thats another story, you just need to be easy on it.

As mentioned before, a T3/T4 would be a very good turbo, there is relatively little lag.

Yea i did a lil reasearch on the turbos the t3/t4 will probably be the way i would go, plus it well priced always a plus... i kno i will be upgrading all the small stuff first to get car prepaired. The question is where would be the ideal place to start im guessing fuel and air, injectors, fuel pump, ect... What do ya think? Cant wait till tax time lol, wish i would have thought about this sooner i just blew 1200 on in dash tv and amp... i love my music

completely wrong.

the manifolds are the same general layout, but the openings are different shape and the spacing between the manifold studs is different. they don't bolt up at all.
