2.87 pulley, 440cc injectors, Vortech Bypass Valve and FMIC

Okay I am really tired but i wanted to get this thread up and running before I go to bed( Systems Analysis Final exam in the morning but I couldn't wait) Anyway here we go.
My blower has t come out so I can fix that oil leak and while its out I wanted to install the mods listed. I need to clock the blower pointing down wards when I have it off the car then here are the questions

1. I read that there are two 90degree bends on the charged side, one from the blower and another to the IC inlet.

2. I need a BOV flange and I was thinking of buying 2.5" piping (only because I hacked my original charge pipe to fit with the 00VI and it already has a flange for the BPV) but now I am deciding to go with 3" piping instead what are you takes on this size. No-one has a clear cut answer !!

3. With the stock FMU (stillen kit) and 440cc would that be enough for fuel delivery for the 2.87 pulley.

4. Would I be able to cut time from the IC install by looking for the PR CAI and using that intake to join up with the IC cold side for a quick IC install or SEE NUMBER 5.

5 A friend of mine is helping me and he was suggesting we use couplers only when we absolutely need to ie on the charged side and the IC inlet then weld all the piping to the TB on the other side. Seems kind of expensive (and I like the aluminum piping and couples, ricer look) but I wont have to blow hoses with the high boost.

Any other suggestions would be welcome. i was thinking of ordering all the stuff this weekend (IC and piping everything else I have) and get this last piece of the puzzle finalized next up will be Headers .

Bump!! i really need input on intake sizing. I was thinking 3" but I have to get a flange but if i get 2.5" piping I don't need the flange i will just hack my original stillen piping.

Personally I think the best size is 2.75' mainly because the SC outlet is 2.75' inchs. And 440cc injectors I believe should enough fuel for that motor and setup, in fact with stock 290cc injectors, 255lbs walbro, and the cartech FMU has my car running a 10.1A/F under boost with 311whp.

BTW what do you have to tune the car with??? I plan on using the EU, 440cc(No FMU) perfect size FMIC, and a SI trim SC with 2.62 pulley...Hopefully I'll see close to 400whp

Thanks!!! I have the vortech FMU and walbro 255 for the rough tune and the VAFCII for for a near 12.1AF all the way till redline. When I do the 2.87 pulley I hope to be doing 11.5AF to be on the safe side. I talked to one of my friends and he suggested I use 3" piping just in case I decide to build the motor and run higher boost.

What pulley were you using to run 311whp?

How much is the SI trim going to run you?? I called vortech about a week ago and he said I had two options either a rebuild(basic if there is nothing else wrong with ther blower) or the T-trim. I asked him about the SI trim and he said I would have to buy a new blower for that (I have the V2 blower) maybe I will call back and talk to someone else but that was a project I want to do in teh winter time.

I was hoping to run 350whp with the mods I have now and an intercooler, 2.87, headers (cattman ftw), 440cc and I really agressive tune, not street tune but dyno tune.

My dyno was done on the 3.33 pulley. And Vortech quoted me for $700 with rebuild and SI upgrade but after re-thinking I'm just going to take the rebuild because I will be running a 2.62 pulley which is about 14-15psi, and IMO that's good enuff for a nearly stock motor. And your friend is right about the 3' piping, hell I also run 3' inches on my 240sx with a fully built, sleeved, stroked SR20det-That'll make 700whp forsure.

So GL

Im running 3' piping with 3.33 pulley and I'm seeing about 10 to 10.5psi with just a y-pipe, and thats with a v1 blower!
