I have my 99 running pretty well. My only problem is when i mash the throttle let's say rolling 40 or whatever in 3rd or 4th gear the afr goes to like 9:1, but if i ease into it, the afr is fine and as i tuned. What am i missing? thanks

 

Not too sure about the ultimate but what are your mods that are used on teh car for fuel. i.e FMU or AFPR.. Reason why is that when you mash the gas to my understanding the car goes into open loop at > 30% thr therefore the car is using preset values to "tune" (lack of a better word) the car making it run rich or maybe you have EU settings that are causing that mode.

 

No FMU, i have afpr,walbro 255, DW 450cc

 

My car does the same, though not as rich, and FYI, I'm NA & AT.

In your case, it would make sense, since the car will not downshift. So all you have is a fairly tall gear for that speed, lots of fuel, initially (mash), with not enough RPM.
