My first S/C kit

wassup everyone, i finally got my first S/C kit. picked this beauty up for $1400 today, now i just gotta get the motor on monday, and begin the boost project. its a V2 blower, and i got everything 'cept for a couple pipes which were gonna get replaced anyways cuz i'm gonna do an aftercooler. guy gave me, three pulleys (3.33, 3.60, 3.12), fuel pump, FMU, brand new 440cc injectors, 2 BOV(blitz, greddy type S), Apexi SAFC, all hardware, and installation how-to paper. i cant wait to put this thing on, i think imma drive the whole day it gets on and waste a tank of gas...lol

yes, so if i wanna remove the blower to change pulleys, i dont have to take the whole bracket, and idlers off, just the top half

?? that doenst make any sense, but good luck with that.

The Supercharger Mounting bracket is made to be ONE piece for a reason. For stability and trueness with the motor so you dont shred belts. By cutting the braket in half, you increased your chances of shreadding belts by like 150%.
I really cant believe someone would conprimise the integrity of a braket like that and cut it in half, and Im even more surprised that someone would buy that !!!

well for the price i had to have it, if the bracket becomes an issue, i can buy another bracket. another reason he did it was to be able to use a different belt, cuz he had that issue with the regular belt setup. hopefully all goes well

You do know this forum is the Forced Induction Classifieds?? Anyway, This is for your Dek? How much power are you looking to attain with this setup? I would seriously consider buying a new plate to avoid headaches down the road. Both of those Bov's are welded to that pipe?!? Good luck with the project.

I am sorry, but I do not see this saving you money. From looking at the picture I do not see any of the mounting hardware. You said you got two separate BOV, but from the picture it looks like both of them are attached to that one piece of piping. You are going to have to get piping done and you are adding an aftercooler which is going to cost you some money. And I agree with matty about that bracket being cut in half. I just think that there are other kits for sale on here that are in better shape and would have cost less money in the long run.

In actuality, you basically paid $1400 for the blower(if it doesn't need a rebuild), injectors, fuel pump, safc and 2 Bov's. That bracket is very dangerous and risky. If it were me I would scrap it, but to each their own.

Why would the guy have two BOV's mounted to the same peice of pipe ? You're gonna have to have one removed and patched. Kind of a waste if you ask me.

That plate is pretty risky man. I wouldnt mount that on my enemies car

lol wow...not quite sure what im looking at. What kind of belt tensioner/pulley is that???? I also don't see a drainback plate.

Man that plate isn't going to work at all, the two strongest mounting points for the blower are the motor mount bolts, and those are on a different "piece" of your plate, than the pulley.

Meh, should bought my kit for $1500 :/

One question who did you buy the kit from? I have never seen a plate like that. :eek. Why would you mount two bov on the same pipe lol.

Werd, well a piece of advice is don't go with the Greddy BOV, go with something that will vent at idle such as a blitz or a tial, so your bearings don't get prematurely worn. Just sayin brah.

oh ok, advice taken....i have the blitz also, i think thats why the guy had both on there. the greddy sounds really good. but if the blitz is better to use as far as safety, then i'll use that one, 9 psi should be ok right?thanks
