3inch Exhaust

Hey I just sold my 2.5inch exhaust and will be making a 3inch exhaust for my car. I figured while I am down there I am willing to make 1 more that will bolt up to a stock or aftermarket y-pipe and use the stock hanger locations. Also it will have a o2 bung welded in, all mandrel bends, 2bolt flange for the cat and a 3 bolt flange before the rear axle and no muffler.

If anyone wants one let me know cause I am going order the parts needed soon. I am only willing to make 1 maybe 2 and thats it.

3" exhaust 97 SE

hmmm I checked out Cattman and Greddy, seems they do not make a 3" for the 4th gen. I guess it has to be custom then. What muffler are you turbo guys using for the 3" exhaust?

I don't see it listed on their website. It says new website coming soon, so maybe it will be listed then.

3" exhaust for 4th gen

I guess we'll find out when Brian responds to this thread or I can just give him a call. It looks like so far the only option for me is to go with a magnaflow universal (the only mufflers I personally like so far) muffler, tip, and cat. Then have the rest of the 3" piping custom up to the custom 3" turbo piping.

Hey bud, as an option to you, Cattman might make the 3" catback afterall and I remember you were ready to buy a year ago when the idea was being tossed around. Chime in the new thread and express your interest.

Please check out the thread, we need at least 8 people that are seriously interested. Lets make this happen, you can't go wrong with Cattman.

well my exhaust is done and I must say for n/a or supercharger personally I would use a resonator and muffler but for turbo apps you could go without either the muffler or resonator but not both. My goal was to make a 3inch exhaust that was quieter than my 2.5inch exhaust so I used both and it worked.

I luv the exhaust it uses all the stock hangers and bolts up to a factory y-pipe since I do not have or plan to run a cat.

Here is some pic's sound clips will be in my turbo build thread

Not many guys that can make up their own pipes, so maybe for you guys yes. I still would rather have the 3" Cattman but thats just my opinion.

It would have been like 150-200 but I am not making anymore. I offered to make a second exhaust when I did mine but people were taking to long. And the funny thing was all I asked for was the money for materials upfront and the rest when it was done.

Go figure I guess all that crap they say about the org being cheap it true, even if someone wanted stainless steel it would have been like a extra 15buck for a spool is SS wire and maybe 50-100 to upgrade to ss bends and pipes but guess people rather pay like 7-800bucks and wait like 6months
