Stillen 350z Supercharger

Has anyone done it on a max? Is it possible? I'm talking about the roots supercharger

I know this guy in mexico on the NA forum is running a DEK with a 350z IM in his s13. So this should bolt right onto the LIM or not? it seems it would be a more straightforward install than the plate and the centrifugal supercharger

I believe the motor mount would get in the way of the belt. Don't hold me to that though.

yeah you'd probably be looking at a pretty significant undertaking getting this to work in a FWD package.

if he got a vq30 with a 350z intake to work in a s13 this should be cake only problem I seen is hood clearance as the G35/350z guys have to switch hoods for this setup

still FWD package. i think if it was this easy, stillen would have made the minor changes and release a FWD package to double their sales..

Neal is right here because of where mount sits on the FWD car, nearly prohibitive to get this working on a A32/33.

If it's going on a S13, though...

i'm not so sure about that one. they stopped selling the maxima superchargers all together and then when they were selling it they only sold it for the MT ones claiming it wouldn't fit on the automatic ones even tho we know better. they also never released it for the 5th gens even tho all u needed to switch was the intake piping

I think you guys are missing the fact that this is not going in a fwd car the person has a 240sx so he is not using that mount in the center of the timing cover

now that would be super sick. but then i would just swap a vq35 into the 240 and put the supercharger on that. No the idea was to put this into the max. if the motor mount is in the way an additional idler pulley could fix it

besides that the mount is in the way , the pulley system is differnt on the RWD than FWD, probally wouldnt be a big deal in the pulley system but again the mount would be in the way, hood clearence, and you would need extend the plug for the DBW ( for those running DBW )

Couldn't it be done using a custom double pulley or two? noob here just wondering.

What would really be nice is a LIM that bolts onto an m90. The kit would just be the custom LIM and pulley's and belts. Find your m90 from a yard...still probably have to put a hole in the hood though...

The only Z guy I've seen this with said it was great at low RPMs. very TQ-ey, But he said "it runs out of steam up top". So I assumed he meant in the upper RPM range. Search nico club or something.

I guess it depends on the range in the powerband your looking for.

It looked beautiful.

This can work on a FWD car, but hood clearance. is a major prob Also the LIM is diff. between the rwd block and fwd 3.5.

THe belt can be figurered out with idler pulleys etc. routed around the mount.

there was an A32 who did have this moded to work on his car. but he crashed it... i never saw the pics.. but poeple say they saw it.. search on the forums you will find it.

For all practical purposes, I'd rather just do reverse Y pipe and plop a GT series or HX turbo on the car. Less cost, less heat, more power.

As far as hood clearance is concerned. Fck it.

that's not what he said, he said he just happened to see a VQ30 with 350Z IM on it in a 240, and that gave him the idea that perhaps another 350Z IM (i.e. the on with the Stillen SC built into it) might go on his VQ30 in his maxima.

I want to put a stillen supercharger on a 02 maxima, since the 350z an the maxima have the same block can't i do a few mods to the engine bay maybe like custom mounts, belts, pulleys,... the only reason I want it on is because I like the whine from the twinscrew. I've seen the mod done on a couple of fwd cars using the whipple 2.8 supercharger

95 maxima se 5spd aka Trouble

Sure you can, I don't see why not.
