AN fitting checkball

Can someone please be my savior and explain what the #$%# is the checkball for in AN swivel fittings?

or what looks like a check ball.
My turbo oil feed fitting is leaking, I changed the crush ring on my turbo's fitting, redid the taflon on other fittings, i finish all happy ready to have the car for work tomorrow. and its still leaking, turns out its leaking out of the damn hole !!!!!! I am so furious, and need the car for work.

if your talking about the little hole with a pin in it that is what holds the the fitting together.the fitting could be bad or trash where is sills off.

That is correct. It holds the fitting together and lets is swivel.

Order a new one from summit racing. They are cheap and super fast with shipping.

I'd fill the hole with RTV but that's just me.

Thanks guys, after further inspection and testing, the surface that touches the flare of the male fitting is like warped or worn out, i compared it to another identical swivel fitting I had and the other one still had the blue color, the bad one was silver as if I tighten it to damn hard lol.

I just got rid of it, eliminated another piece of the feed line, and ended up with less fittings, and the newer one. no leak from there now. Turbo is still leaking though!! looks like its the flange on the return side.
