45 and 40 series will be way off and will look like crap.

The 50 series will be closest, but will still be a bit too small. I would get a 225/50/16 if you wanted to go with a different tire size, although I don't know if they recommend a 225 for a 6.5" wide wheel.

Search for "tire calculator" and play around with it.

I know that. I am saying that your stock wheel is 6.5" wide. I don't know if a 225 will work on a 6.5" wheel.

You can't just randomly pick numbers and throw them on your rims. Do you realize how f-d up your car will both look and ride if you get a 40 series tire?

Keep in mind that when you reduce the tire from a 55 series to a 50 series, you will also INCREASE the wheel gap. I'd stick with stock sizing.

Either

215/55/16
or
225/50/16

And that's all you can usually fit, unless you want 205s.

With a 6.5in wide wheel and a 225 tire, the sidewall is going to flex a TON. This will give your car a very floaty initial turn in. Plus it's going to look goofy.
