Millie Migla question

I am thinking of getting 18x8 evo 5s and I was wondering how easy they bend because the roads aren't that good here in RI. I like the look of these but I really need a strong rim.

I don't have them but alot of ppl around my way have them and live in Brooklyn. Knowone has ever complain about bending them in my hood or on the org. So to sum it up I think they are pretty good wheels and if you drive carefully and watch out for potholes you will be fine.

Save the fast driving for the Highway.

Nice

Well I have driven on some bad roads and no bending.. but I did run off the road one time.. and that bent the heck out of one of them.. but mostly it was because the tire went flat when I ran off..

I live in CT and commute to NY. So far, so good. I just watch out for the potholes.

my dad has a 16 with mila miglia actions. And we have bent 3 rims in the past year and a half hitting pot holes in whihc we cnannot avoid. After you bend one it usually costs around 160 to be fixed. I know auomobile magizine has some evo's on a is300 and they bent 2 of them. But Mil mIglia's are suppose to be one of the best wheels out there. Everyone who puts tires on the car says we have oms eogod solid rims and they like them. I am bout to purchase some actions for my max this week.

I bent one of my 17" evo5's pretty badly and another one slightly (front and rear respectivly on the same huge pothole.) I've had em about a year and besides that one incident they've been fine.

Where else besides Tirerack can you get Mille's on line?
I was set to order some 18" EVO's untill reading this now I want to ask around.
WHAT OTHER MANUFATURER MAKE A RIM LIKE THIS?

I've dealth with at least 5 sets of 18x8 MM EVO's in the past, (owning 2 sets, buying, selling...etc). No Doubt they look awsome, "BUT" The paint/powdercoat they use in Italy on these wheels are "Illegal" in USA, meaning: if you scratch, damage or bent even 1 wheel, You have to repaint the other 3 in a different silver to match, otherwise "Noboday" in US has the exact matching Pearl Silver... Hope I could help.
I have a good hookup in Canada about $100 cheaper (depending on exchange rate) than Tirerack to import 4-5 more sets if there is a strong demand.
Another alternative (in the same price range) is a new wheels on the market called Zenetti 5 Picture: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=342829&page=4
Hope I could help, Henrik

Uhhhh, how did you "measure" them? Did you take a tape measure across the wheel? If you used a tape measure, you are wrong. Wheel sizes are measured on the inside of the wheel (where the tire touches), not across the face.

Look at the tire size. That will tell you how big they are.

yea when they paint our the only paint the parts that are messed up. They can get it pretty close but not exact. YOu can't tell if you do not pay real good attention, or if there is brake dust
